How to get API key

1. Go to aistudio.google.com/app/apikey
2. Sign in with your Google account
3. Click Create API key and copy it
4. Paste the key into the OpenClaw Setup wizard

Tip: Use the free tier for testing; upgrade for higher limits.

Gemini CLI (Login with Google): not a portable token

Gemini CLI uses Login with Google and caches credentials locally. There is no official stable long-lived CLI token you can copy and paste into another hosted service.

For OpenClaw Setup, use an API key (above) or a Vertex AI service account for enterprise.

I selected Gemini CLI Token in the wizard — what do I paste? Use your API key. The CLI token option is experimental and not a portable credential.
